Job Summary

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Georgia Tech, you will play a critical role in planning and executing the operation, maintenance, repair, replacement, and location of Mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled water, steam, sewers, and associated components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage replacement and repair projects for mechanical components and systems with in-house and contract services.
  • Maintain a campus 1-year equipment replacement plan and develop the annual MRR execution plan.
  • Assist area managers to solve issues involving Mechanical systems.
  • Define training needs and provide or coordinate training services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Overnight travel required for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours.
  • Six to eight years of job-related experience.
  • Fundamentals Examine (FE) or Engineer-in-training (EIT) certified, Professional Engineers license, or State Trade License in any mechanical field.
