Senior UNIX Security Operations Specialist, AVP

The State Street Corporation is seeking a highly skilled UNIX Security Operations specialist to join their team as an AVP. This role will oversee the operational tools that support security for UNIX and work closely with other security engineers and business sponsors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize expertise in security-related problem solving and risk mitigation.
  • Gather and understand requirements, integrate end-to-end technology build specifications, and catalog entries that fulfill requirements across platforms.
  • Understand architecture strategies and standards from the Infrastructure Architecture team as well as vendor capabilities to ensure a successful approach to the design of a solution.
  • Contribute to a wide variety of security initiatives as a dependable and flexible resource.
  • Interface with ETS Risk and Compliance to ensure that SSAE16, SOX, etc. audit requirements are clearly factored into the Security solutions, with particular attention to monitoring and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering
  • Experience with UNIX OS
  • Experience managing UNIX tools such as scripting

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • PBRUN (Beyond Trust)
  • Windows Active Directory, Group Policies, LDAP/Unix knowledge
  • Unix Scripting (PERL, Python)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $132,500 per year. The salary range may vary based on location.
