As a key member of our team at Troy's Ornamental Iron Craft, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Project Managers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and sketches. Your expertise in AutoCAD and Revit will enable you to create and revise production drawings, ensuring accuracy and precision in our metal fabrication and steel structure projects.

You will work closely with our shop personnel to facilitate the fabrication process, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Your ability to manage multiple projects concurrently will be essential in meeting our deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop designs using computer-assisted design/drafting (AutoCAD) equipment and software.
• Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
• Make final sketches of proposed drawings, checking dimensions, materials, and relationships between parts.
• Sketch rough layouts of products and compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and location of holes.
• Draft detailed multiview drawings of products.
• Draw finished designs from sketches.
• Update Drafting and Engineering Standards.
• Maintain an organized file system for Production Drawings.
• Communicate with Fabrication, QA, Engineering, and Manufacturing regarding new and revised prints.
• Experience working with public entities standards and specifications.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience and highly proficient with AutoCAD.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Bluebeam Revu and Tekla.
• Familiarity with Steel Structure and Metal Fabrication.
