Pediatric Nursing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nursing Specialist to join our team at Children's Hospital & Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to pediatric patients in various units, including the NICU, PICU, Med-Surg, and Float Pool.
Job DescriptionThe Pediatric Nursing Specialist will coordinate professional nursing and individualized, family-centered care to pediatric patients and families through the use of the nursing process and clinical skills in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and implement evidence-based interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, address complex patient needs, and promote seamless transitions between care settings.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure informed decision-making and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and regulatory requirements to maintain expertise in pediatric nursing and advance the profession.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:
- A minimum of 1 year of RN experience, preferably in a pediatric setting.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 180 days of hire.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a calm demeanor in high-stress situations.
