About the JobThis 13-week contract position offers a unique opportunity to work as a travel nurse RN in Oncology, providing top-notch patient care in a dynamic environment. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with varying needs, from infants to geriatric patients.
Job Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Wyoming state nursing license.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing, with a focus on oncology preferred.
- Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, CPI, CPR, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy.
- Demonstrate ability to maintain continuing education requirements and all certifications and licenses as required.
- Show efficient time management and prioritization skills.
- Assess patient condition, formulate a plan of care, select appropriate interventions, evaluate patient response to care/treatment, and explain/teach patients about their condition/recovery.
- Ability to handle emergency high-stress situations.
- Analytical and reasoning skills with a high level of mental concentration and memory.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to develop positive interaction with patients, patient families, physicians, and staff.
- Computer knowledge, including electronic record-keeping and ability to operate fax, computer, and copy machine.
- Maintain current knowledge and skill in developmental stages and apply theories/concepts when planning and implementing care for the appropriate age group.
- Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $160,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
