We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Haywood Regional Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a difference in the lives of our patients.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, assessing patients' needs and developing individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and utilize medical equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and coordinate with other departments as necessary.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new technologies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in North Carolina or from a Compact State.
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and AHA PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
- Handle With Care certification within 90 days of hire.
- One year of experience preferred, but not required.
