A Day in the Life of a Store Associate - Retail Operations Expert

As a Store Associate - Retail Operations Expert at Food Lion, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our stores run smoothly and efficiently. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service within the Center Store (Grocery) Department.

You'll maintain high standards by maximizing sales through excellent customer service and minimizing shrink through proper utilization of standard practices. This involves creating a positive shopping experience for customers, being courteous and helpful to fellow associates, and adhering to company guidelines and policies.

Your duties will include maintaining an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness, stocking shelves from tag to tag, placing only saleable merchandise on the shelves, and ensuring that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and displaying of merchandise align with company guidelines.

As a Store Associate - Retail Operations Expert, you'll also be responsible for understanding and using company tools such as ACIS and CAO, maintaining a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies, and standard practices, and observing and correcting all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents.

You'll work closely with the Manager on Duty to report any associate or customer accidents and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, you'll wear the Food Lion uniform, complete with a name badge, when on duty and maintain a neat and clean appearance while adhering to the Food Lion dress code.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills. You should be able to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, use technical information to solve problems, and meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year
