Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify shipment contents against records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
  • Confer or correspond with necessary individuals to rectify issues such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance specifications.
  • Deliver or route materials to departments.
  • Contact carriers to arrange pickups or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 – 5 years receiving experience.
  • Experience in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
Physical Requirements:
  • Periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time.
