Executive Chef

Lotte Hotel Seattle is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen leadership, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a smooth work system, fostering a positive work environment, and driving culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a smooth work system through efficient personnel management and employee relations.
- Develop and implement menu planning, inventory management, and food cost control strategies.
- Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional culinary standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items and maintain a high level of culinary creativity.
- Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other kitchen expenses to achieve budgetary targets.
- Communicate effectively with the culinary team, front-of-house staff, and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
- Relevant bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of cooking experience, with a strong background in culinary leadership.
- Culinary certificate or advanced culinary certificate preferred.
- Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Strong knowledge of food and culture, with the ability to create new menu items and maintain culinary excellence.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve exceptional results.
