Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment
    • Collect and prioritize comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
    • Use evidence-based assessment techniques and instruments in data collection.
  • Diagnosis
    • Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses.
    • Validate and communicate nursing diagnoses with the patient, family, and healthcare team members.
  • Outcomes Identification
    • Identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient.
    • Establish realistic and measurable patient expected outcomes based on nursing diagnoses and patient capabilities.
  • Planning
    • Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
    • Consider patient characteristics and situation when developing the plan of care.
  • Implementation
    • Implement the identified plan in a safe and timely manner.
    • Utilize evidence-based interventions and treatments specific to the diagnoses.
  • Evaluation
    • Evaluate the patient's progress towards attainment of the outcome.
    • Revised diagnoses, outcomes, and the plan of care as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Vocational degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 0 to 2 years RN experience required or 0 to 2 years OR experience preferred or 0 to 2 years completion or in process of completing an approved Periop 101 program required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required if working in the state of MN upon hire.
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required by completion of orientation.
  • ACLS/BLS Tier 2-Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Multisource may be required at some sites.
  • CNOR Certified Nurse Operating Room preferred.
