About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in developing robust systems and building resilient infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement resilient infrastructure solutions in AWS environments
  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Automate routine tasks and implement self-repair mechanisms to reduce toil
  • Collaborate with junior engineers to broaden knowledge base and provide expertise
  • Work with homeland security to develop more robust systems and infrastructure
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience developing robust systems and building resilient infrastructure
  • 4+ years of experience with provisioning, operations, and management in AWS environments
  • Experience with monitoring applications, network appliances, or infrastructure for Open Source and Enterprise or CloudNative
  • Experience applying core SRE practices and principles
  • Experience with GIT repositories, CI/CD concepts, and leveraging Infrastructure as Code
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED
Nice to Have
  • Experience with hand-off of problem reports to appropriate client leadership
  • Experience providing systems and account administration consistent with system requirements to support remote system service
  • Experience providing support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Experience with troubleshooting, maintaining integrity, and configuring network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Experience implementing AIOps practices for IT infrastructure automation, including automated predictive maintenance
  • Bachelor's Degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193, annualized USD.
