Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at UF Health. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food as assigned, utilizing standardized issues from Ingredient Control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food as assigned, adhering to established sanitary and safety regulations.
  • Handle and prepare food in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring palatability and appearance.
  • Meet meal schedule requirements and minimize waste.
  • Properly care for and clean equipment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years of cooking experience in commercial food services required.
  • Ability to read, speak, write, and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
  • On-the-job training provided under close supervision.

Additional Information:

Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.
