Mental Health Technician

Amergis is seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at a behavioral health facility in Chattanooga, TN. As a Mental Health Technician, you will provide care and support to individuals with psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders, working under the guidance of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and behavioral assistance to assigned clients
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as grooming, eating, and toileting
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients
- Monitor vital signs and report any concerns to medical staff
- Provide crisis intervention and support services
- Encourage independence and participation in rehabilitation programs
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred
- Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred
- Compliance with professional standards of practice
- Participation in Amergis' Competency program
