**Job Summary**


We are seeking an Attendance Support Specialist to join our team at Carlsbad Unified School District. As an Attendance Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of student attendance records. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our attendance data.


**Key Responsibilities**



  • Verify and process student attendance records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Update attendance data in our automated system, maintaining up-to-date records
  • Communicate with students, parents, and staff to resolve attendance issues and discrepancies
  • Perform data entry and record-keeping duties, including scanning and coding attendance forms
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

**Requirements**



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of clerical experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse groups
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
