Senior Merchandising and Sales Planner

Job Responsibilities- Develop and implement global sales and operations planning business strategy in collaboration with LePrix's C-Suite and senior management group.
- Convert business strategy into demand and purchasing plans for the organization, ensuring a holistic view of all wholesale sourcing and distribution channels.
- Drive supply planning processes across global procurement units, validating demand plans by analyzing historical sales trends at multiple levels of aggregation.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to review and align departmental demand plans with supply strategies, developing channel strategies for new store fulfillment and existing store replenishment.
- Partner with Procurement & Operations leadership to develop procurement and production plans in line with global demand and supply forecasts.
- Lead monthly Sales & Operations Planning meetings with key stakeholders to review progress, update forecasts, and assess supply performance.
- Identify opportunities and risks, ensuring all future business opportunities and risks are reflected in the rolling demand and supply forecasts.
- Monitor stock and merchandising, developing strategies to enhance visibility and minimize risks related to stockouts and aging products.
- Ensure information flow between sales, procurement, operations, and finance teams, maintaining regular, accurate, and updated information.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 4-8 years of experience in wholesale, retail, or demand planning.
- Proficiency in Excel, knowledge of Tableau, Power BI/Query, or VBA preferred.
- Ability to work with large data sets, analyzing problems from various aspects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required, with knowledge of Japanese a plus.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently essential.
- Must have the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
- Strong forecasting logic, e.g., forecast accuracy in MAPE & BIAS, product seasonality & lifecycle, with previous background in wholesale industry a plus.
- Team player who is comfortable working across multiple teams, personalities, and management levels, balancing optics across stakeholders who are both process input providers and process output users.
