Job Summary

The Marketing and Business Development Specialist will be responsible for supporting the pursuit process, maintaining project information, and editing client deliverables. This role will also involve coordinating marketing-related activities, enforcing corporate brand standards, and growing in workload capacity and quality.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the pursuit process from early strategy through proposal and pursuit interview, upholding the standards set forth in the Brasfield & Gorrie brand manual, and debriefing efforts and sharing lessons learned with the marketing team.
  • Maintain project, employee information, and project photography using Deltek and Open Asset.
  • Edit non-technical sections of client deliverables, such as brochures, proposals, and presentations.
  • Support Regional Operations and Business Development on internal projects, presentations, award submittals, tradeshows, and special events for assigned divisions.
  • Inform Corporate Communications on public relations events and milestones involving assigned divisions, provide background information, and assist with the approval process with project teams and clients if necessary.
  • Work with graphic designers to create graphics that support pursuit strategy or business development initiatives and division or department requests.
  • Engage with operations and office personnel to increase knowledge of the company and build relationships.
  • Attend or support the efforts of annual trade shows and recruiting events.
  • Champion Brasfield & Gorrie company culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of prior marketing experience in the AEC industry or a similar field preferred.
  • Proficiency in desktop publishing, presentation, and other marketing-related software, including Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Deltek, Salesforce, Prezi, and OpenAsset.
  • Skilled in writing, proofreading, and editing.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with the ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Displays respect in working with others and the ability to create trusting relationships.
  • Understanding of the construction industry.

Working Conditions

  • Local and out-of-town travel may be required.
  • Approximately 5% travel required.
