Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, managing serialized parts, and working closely with our sales and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day operations of serialized parts, including daily release of firearm orders for state compliance and verification of dealer's federal firearms license.
- Complete and submit all necessary NFA forms (2, 3, 5, 9) and 4473s according to federal and state laws.
- Work with the sales and engineering team regarding demos for agencies and internal transfers.
- Adjust inventory, acquisitions, and disposition records, as well as scrapped firearms.
- Report lost, missing, or stolen firearms to the ATF.
- Interact with the ATF, team members, and other industry professionals to perform regulatory tasks required to ensure compliance with GCA and NFA regulations.
- Responsible for demonstrating a commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in the company's efforts to continuously improve in safety, 6S, quality, delivery, and productivity.
- Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment, and a positive work environment.
- Knowledge of ATF compliance laws, rules, and regulations preferred.
- High school diploma with 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in a compliance-related role or a combination of related experience, education, and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the job's essential functions.
- Very specific attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills; must thoroughly and accurately verify work, specifically ensuring that serial numbers (or any numbers) are accurate and do not get transposed.
- Analytical skills and ability to use those skills.
- Teamwork and the ability to cooperate and work proactively with others is a must.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate complex information to others in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be able to manage time efficiently, be self-motivated, willing to put in the extra effort and hours as needed, and be able to prioritize responsibilities, deadlines, and delegate work in an effective manner.
- Ability to work, interact, and effectively communicate with company officials, employees, vendors, customers, etc.
- Competent with computer software such as Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and work in accordance with our Permission to Play Values.
- Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing 50 pounds.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the work day.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protection equipment as required by your position and/or company policy.
