MRI Technologist

New York Institute of Technology seeks a skilled MRI Technician to join our team at the Long Island campus. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating high-field strength magnets and related equipment to produce high-quality radiographic images of specific body parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex tasks associated with the operation of high-field strength magnets and related equipment.
- Position patients for MR scans using immobilization and protective equipment to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure performance.
- Assist radiologists with procedure performance and evaluate MR scans for technical quality.
- Schedule patients for procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology.
- 12 months of previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality preferred.
- ARRT certification in Radiology and IV credentialed if applicable.
- BLS Certification preferred.
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will be required to stand, stoop, and lift objects weighing up to 100 lbs. with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
