Job Description

The Visual Design Specialist will play a key role in bringing happiness and excitement to people from around the world. As a member of our creative team, you'll be responsible for designing visual elements used in productions, animal presentations, events, and other annual/reoccurring entertainment offerings at both parks.

You'll collaborate with event and show producers, corporate designers, technical teams, entertainment managers, senior leadership team, and other stakeholders to establish a cohesive plan and designs that meet their needs. Your tasks will include completing requests for signage, scenic, and other graphic design elements from various areas of the park, developing and following style guides, color elevations, and DNA sheets as a brand steward, and organizing projects and managing status sheets on a daily basis.

As a Visual Design Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, from designing themed environments to creating visual effects for live shows. You'll be able to bring your creativity and skills to the table to help shape the visual identity of our parks and make them even more immersive and engaging for our guests.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) and Acrobat Professional.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Able to work on a PC and Mac.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work well on a team and accept feedback from others.
  • Ability to translate creative concepts into renderings and instructions for fabrication.
  • Preferred experience in or sound understanding of carpentry, architecture, drafting, sketching, textures, materials, fabrication, technical theatre (lighting, sound), entertainment, and/or theme parks.
