We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our child care centers in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.
Key Responsibilities- Pick up food donations and empty waste containers
- Sweep and vacuum floors daily, and damp mop and wax as needed
- Replace hand towels and tissue
- Clean mirrors and set up chairs/tables as requested
- Monitor areas for routine maintenance (windows, light fixtures, etc.)
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, fueled, and secured
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
