Job Summary:

Publix Super Markets, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of functions on industrial electrical and electronic components according to company policy, National Electric Code, and federal, state, and local building codes. You will also be required to teach and assist other associates and assist in other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of functions on industrial electrical and electronic components according to company policy, National Electric Code, and federal, state, and local building codes.
• Teach and assist other associates.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 20 years old.
• Valid driver's license and authorization to drive a company vehicle.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ability to read, write, and solve math problems.
• Successfully complete the following tests: Computation, Following Written Directions, Space Visualization, Mechanical Aptitude, and ability to interpret, understand, follow and communicate instructions.
• At least three years' experience as an electrician.
• Extensive knowledge of A.C. and D.C. circuits and related components.
• Knowledge of the National Electric code.
• Knowledge of electrical schematic and wiring diagram interpretation motors and motor controls, energy management systems, fire protection system circuits, lighting and lighting controls and the ability to use all electrical testing and measuring instruments.
• State licensed.
• Capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Ability to supply and maintain hand tools to accomplish daily duties.
• Ability to work well with others and be a team member.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness and ability to advance.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Strong problems-solving skills.
• Self-motivated individual.
