About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care through evidence-based practice. They will coordinate patient care and communicate extensively with the healthcare team, patients, and their families. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain high standards of professional ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients, leading to the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.
  • Administer and monitor therapeutic interventions and regimes, ensuring accurate documentation and effective patient outcomes.
  • Manage rapidly changing situations, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • Participate in clinical decision-making, collaborating with the healthcare team to provide holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues, promoting informed decision-making.
  • Delegate and monitor care provided by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement and contribute to quality initiatives, enhancing patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a valid NJ RN License, which must be presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey licensing board. They will demonstrate knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate efforts among a team of care providers are essential.
