Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Optometrist to join our team at the Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country. The successful candidate will be responsible for examining patients' eyes, performing tests to diagnose vision problems and eye diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses and medications as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive eye exams to diagnose vision problems and eye diseases.
  2. Preset corrective lenses and medications as needed.
  3. Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery.
  4. Promote eye health through education and counseling.
  5. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a 4-year program at an accredited school of optometry.
  • Current, active New York State professional license registration.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with others.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • One year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Salary: $58.10 - $72.62 per hour
