Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on LRMC's Mobile Team, you will play a vital role in delivering primary medical care where it is needed most. You will perform complex sub-professional nursing and administrative tasks, adapt to the evolving demands of our community, and work independently at times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify symptoms of physical illness and disability of presenting patients through observation and analysis of the medical record.
  • Supervise and instruct paraprofessional nursing personnel in the treatment and/or care of patients and the maintenance of areas where patients are seen.
  • Read patients' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration rate, blood pressure, etc.
  • Administer medication, treatment, and immunizations as prescribed by Physician.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed as a Practical Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or North Carolina Board of Nursing based on SC or NC Residency.
  • Familiar with general office procedures.
  • Possess considerable knowledge of practical nursing practice and procedures.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing and one year of practical nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory health care setting.
  • Must observe office protocol in performing routine duties.
  • Should possess thorough knowledge of basic health and safety practices, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
  • General knowledge of human anatomy.
