About the RoleThis part-time position involves working in a fast-paced emergency department that provides 24/7 care to pregnant and postpartum patients. As a key member of the PEC team, you will work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized plans of care for patients. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality care to patients with obstetric-related concerns.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients in the PEC, including triage, assessment, and treatment
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized plans of care
- Participate in resident training and education programs
- Meet the requirements for continuing education as outlined by regulatory agencies
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certified Registered Nurse Midwife (CNM) or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) certification
- Prescriptive authority
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Pennsylvania
