Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Catholic Health Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the ambulatory setting. You will be responsible for treating patients with a friendly, helpful demeanor, both in person and over the phone. Your care will reflect initiative and responsibility, indicative of professional expectations. You will be a resource person and teacher, utilizing initiative to maintain a steady level of productivity and be a self-starter. You will communicate on behalf of the patient, reflecting the mission, ethics, and goals of the facility, as well as the focus statement of the department.

Responsibilities:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensed to practice in New York State.
One year clinical nursing experience, ACLS preferred.
Critical care classes, sedation or other advanced orientation may be required based on specialty assignment.

Requirements:

Communicates clearly and timely both verbally and in writing to advance positive patient outcomes and organizational goals and objectives.
Conducts self in a professional manner, demonstrating professional competence, and communicates with a positive and caring attitude.
Demonstrates ability to perform work in an accurate and timely manner.
Adheres to professional practice standards, participates in Quality Improvement Process, and adheres to principles of Patient Bill of Rights.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a shift of Days. The work schedule is Days, and the hours are not specified. The position is exempt from overtime and is a team player.
