Mobile Crisis Peer Support Specialist

Pawnee Mental Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Crisis Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Mobile Crisis Peer Support Specialist, you will provide community-based mobile crisis care to individuals in crisis, utilizing your experience receiving mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to clients in crisis in their preferred location, providing crisis interventions and support.
- Triage and screen for suicidality, de-escalate and present resolutions, coordinate with medical/behavioral health services, and create a crisis plan and follow up.
- Establish rapport, share experiences, and strengthen engagement with the client experiencing a crisis, engaging with family members or other significant relationships to educate them about self-care and ways to provide support.
- Actively engage with the client in crisis planning, creating a range of tools and techniques they can use in their safety plan.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current or past life experience as a primary consumer of mental health services
- A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and automobile liability insurance
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, using the English language
- Basic computer skills
