About Greenforest Community Baptist ChurchWe are a thriving community church seeking an experienced and skilled Finance Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership, you will play a vital role in managing the church's financial operations, ensuring transparency, accountability, and strategic decision-making.

Job SummaryThe Finance Director will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, producing timely reports, and providing expert advice to senior leaders. This is a full-time exempt position requiring flexibility in work hours and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior leaders, highlighting key trends, issues, and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to ensure effective financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and Treasurer to establish and implement sound financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other external partners to ensure smooth financial transactions and optimal rates.
  • Supervise and train accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and efficient processes.
  • Stay current with accounting principles, regulations, and industry best practices to maintain the highest level of expertise and professionalism.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software such as ACS Technologies.
