Job Summary

EMC Precision Machining II LLC is seeking a skilled Heat Treatment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heat treat equipment, monitoring treatment cycles, and ensuring that customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heat treat equipment, including batch and continuous furnaces, endothermic generators, and induction machines.
  • Monitor treatment cycles and ensure that products meet customer specifications.
  • Perform metrology testing and record results on a computer system.
  • Load and unload furnaces, and upload heat treat programs to instruments and furnaces.
  • Check dewpoints periodically for proper carbon control.
  • Conduct metallograph inspection and microstructure evaluation.
  • Understand and interpret magnetic particle inspection.
  • Train new operators in heat treat equipment and lab duties.
  • Maintain a level II magnetic particle inspection certification.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years factory-related experience.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and customer specifications.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment
  • Will be exposed to loud noise from manufacturing.
  • Will frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, and fumes.
