Job Summary

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse looking for a challenging role in patient care?

We are seeking an experienced RN to join our team as a Nurse Specialist - Inpatient Care at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $65,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Specialist - Inpatient Care, you will provide direct nursing care to patients on the 4th floor of our InPatient unit. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical leadership and support to other staff members
  • Assuming relief charge duties when designated
  • Serving as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of New Mexico or eligibility for licensure by reciprocal agreement
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year of hire
Physical Requirements

This role requires heavy physical exertion, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and 25-50 pounds frequently.

Please note that working conditions may include exposure to chemicals and bio-hazardous materials requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
