Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Inpatient Case Manager RN to join our team at Allegheny General Hospital. As an integral part of our Case Management Department, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients and their support systems in managing medical conditions effectively.

About the Role

This full-time position requires a strong background in nursing with experience in clinical settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tailor communication styles according to the target audience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical care with patients, families, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Complete and document admission, concurrent, and discharge reviews of all inpatients and selected outpatients.
  • Develop and implement effective discharge plans while incorporating input from patients, families, physicians, and other team members.
  • Identify, analyze, collect, and communicate data relative to quality and cost issues related to the assigned patient population.
  • Expand industry knowledge base for professional growth and development while providing ongoing education to patients, families, physicians, and other team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years in a clinical nursing role.
  • Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Nationally recognized Case Management Certification within 5 years of start date.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $75,000-$90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
