About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain competence in dispensing and delivery of medications, including the use of information systems, technology, and automation.
  • Prepare non-sterile products in accordance with USP, state, and federal recommendations.
  • Enter medication orders into the computer system and process medication requests via the computer system.
  • Manage phone calls from customers and team members, providing timely and accurate resolution or hand-off as needed.
  • Develop and maintain competence in pharmacy procedures and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and department requirements.
Requirements
  • Licensure: State of Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student.
  • Certification: CPhT issued by PTCB or ExCPT within two years of hire, or sooner if required by law.
  • Education: High School Graduate.
  • Experience: No experience required.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent fine motor motion of hands and wrists to operate a keyboard and manipulate syringes. You will also be required to lift, carry, and/or push/pull various items while utilizing proper technique. Additionally, you may be exposed to chemical hazards, hazardous waste, blood, and body fluids, and communicable disease.
