We are seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. The successful candidate will believe that ALL students are capable of success and uphold high expectations for students, ensuring that our scholars are achieving growth.

The Special Education Paraprofessional will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering lessons to individuals and small groups of scholars that target remedial skill needs, IEP goals, and general education content
  • Providing in the moment behavior support and coaching, and responding to crisis behavior as necessary
  • Analyzing data and conducting assessments to track student progress on IEP goals and assisting Education specialist(s) in the completion of quarterly progress reports
  • Building relationships by collaborating with special education teachers, Managing Director of Special Education, general education teachers, school leadership team, and families regarding student needs and progress

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An AA degree or equivalent, with a BA preferred
  • High behavioral expectations and academic expectations for all students
  • Excellent knowledge of child development and educational practices
  • Experience working with students and classroom management
  • A willingness to be flexible with your schedule
  • A commitment to working with students in traditionally underserved communities
