The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $35,000 to $55,000 based on education and experience.
Job Description:
This part-time Patient Care Specialist role involves supporting patients through their treatment experience, ensuring patient safety, and facilitating therapy groups. You will be responsible for orienting new patients to the program, monitoring their well-being, and contributing to a positive milieu.
Responsibilities:
- Orient new patients to the treatment program, its requirements, intent, and routine.
- Monitor patients in the milieu, keeping them in sight and checking on them regularly in bedrooms or other areas.
- Contribute to the well-being of all patients by serving as a positive role model, demonstrating professional and caring behavior towards colleagues, patients, and guests.
- Facilitate treatment plans set forth by therapists by providing day-to-day support to patients and helping them engage in positive coping skills.
- Understand the importance of structure by following house rules and group schedules each shift.
- Run and engage patients in therapeutic groups such as coping skills, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, and life skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience working with mental health or adolescents is preferred.
- Must attend all training, education, and staff enrichment activities.
- Must possess a current driver's license in good standing.
- Must be CPI and CPR/First Aid certified within 90 days of employment.
