Job Summary

New Communities Inc. offers a rewarding opportunity for a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician (MHRT) to support adults with mental health challenges in a residential setting.

About the Role:

As a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician, you will work collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals through a positive reinforcement approach, administer medication, and promote community integration and inclusion.

You will also assist with client transportation using New Communities company vehicles, attend and promote recreational and social outings, and act with the highest level of ethics and professional conduct.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to adults with mental health challenges
  • Assist clients in achieving their goals through a personalized plan
  • Administer medication as prescribed
  • Promote community integration and inclusion
  • Transport clients using company vehicles

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma/GED
  • 18 years of age or over
  • Active driver's license
  • Experience in direct care, preferred, but not required. Willing to train.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers
