Job Summary

The Broad Institute is seeking a highly skilled Controller to lead its financial operations. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting, compliance, and audit functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professionals responsible for general accounting, reporting, tax, and treasury operations.
  • Manage matrixed reporting for accounts payable and billing & collections.
  • Oversee external financial statement and ERISA audit.
  • Partner with the Office of Sponsored Research to complete the Uniform Guidance Single Audit audit.
  • Prepare audit materials and present to the Institute's Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee of the Board of Directors.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of progressive Accounting/Financial experience from a complex environment, specifically in the not-for-profit industry.
  • CPA required (Internal Broad finance experience may be considered in lieu of).
  • Proven managerial skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to superior customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
