Job Summary

The Assistant Habilitation Specialist plays a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a dynamic and inclusive environment. This position requires a compassionate and skilled individual to assist with daily activities, promote independence, and foster a sense of community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care and meal preparation
  • Implement goals designed to maximize each participant's level of independence
  • Monitor progress and document performance data
  • Provide behavioral interventions using least restrictive techniques
  • Participate in appointments and activities with assigned participants
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Valid NYS driver's license required
