About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Digital Marketing Strategist to join our Commercial Member Acquisition marketing team at Blue Shield of California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive membership growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Campaign Management

You will work on a variety of project-based assignments to enhance the member experience and achieve membership growth. This includes managing campaign tactics, assisting with new program launches, supporting the development and implementation of open enrollment digital tools, tracking campaign metrics, and working cross-functionally to gather information on new Blue Shield products and services.

Client-Specific Communications

You will manage client-specific member communications for large employer groups, serving as the primary marketing point of contact and developing strategies to deliver communications and campaigns that support membership growth during open enrollment.

Digital Experience Enhancement

You will work with digital strategy and other marketing strategists to enhance the open enrollment digital experience through the development, enhancement, and usage of digital tools, maintaining and updating client websites, and ensuring that digital content is kept current and aligned with brand standards and market trends.

Data-Driven Optimization

You will leverage data to optimize campaigns and recommend metric improvements, pulling campaign metrics to show the success and effectiveness of email campaigns and reporting campaign progress against goals and relevant marketing metrics to management.

Strategy Development and Execution

You will lead end-to-end strategy and development of client-specific member marketing acquisition campaigns, understanding the importance of developing communications through the eyes of the customer and developing holistic experiences and meaningful touch-points while incorporating a test and learn methodology.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 7 years of prior relevant experience in digital marketing (websites, email, social, etc.).
  • Able to utilize data to optimize campaigns, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics aligned with objectives, and provide management with updates on campaign performance and progress towards goals.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with health insurance strongly preferred.
  • Stellar communication (both written and verbal) skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as creative and marketing teams, account managers, and external partners.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to use advanced features of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with HTML and video editing a plus.
What We Offer

The pay range for this role is $109,120.00 to $163,680.00 for California. Salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
