Job Summary

Green Expert Technology Inc. (GreenXT) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Aircraft Carrier Design and Systems Engineering Directorate (SEA 05V) at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).

This position is located at the Washington Navy Yard and is part of the Digital, Network, and Cyber Group.

Responsibilities
  • Review technical data packages, drawings, reports, logistics products, and training to assess accuracy and/or assess risk for SDM/SEM technical decisions
  • Provide written responses to requests for technical assistance or adjudication received via letter, Departure from Specification (DFS), and Nuclear Liaison Action Request (NLAR)
  • Address technical issues with ship modernization efforts executed via Ship Change Documents (SCDs) and support development of new SCDs
  • Review ship, procurement, and systems specifications and submit written proposals for changes
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams, build consensus with numerous stakeholders, and coordinate with teams of engineers and support staff to complete projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering
  • 3- 7 years' experience with machinery control systems
  • Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
  • Good project management, technical writing, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred/Desired
  • Prior Carrier, Submarine, or Surface Ship (Navy, Coast Guard, or Merchant Marine) system engineering experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following Ship Control Systems (SCS): Machinery Control and Monitoring System (MCMS) / Machinery Control System (MCS) or similar Machinery Control network systems and related infrastructure
