Custodial Position

The Pennsauken Public Schools seek a dedicated and skilled Night-Time Custodian to join our maintenance team. This is a 12-month position that requires the successful candidate to possess excellent housekeeping skills, physical abilities, and knowledge of current standard procedures.

This role involves maintaining a safe and clean environment for students and staff at our district schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing custodial duties, including cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking supplies, as well as assisting in school building snow and ice removal.

To be eligible for this position, applicants must have a high school graduate or equivalent, own transportation, and meet New Jersey residency requirements for public employees. Additionally, they must be able to pass the NJ Criminal History Review Unit Fingerprinting Requirement and possess a valid New Jersey Black Seal Boiler Operators License. Strong communication skills are also essential, as the successful candidate will need to read, write, and verbalize work-related directions and instructions effectively.

We offer competitive compensation for this role, with an estimated annual salary range of $45,000-$60,000 based on experience and qualifications.
