About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our medical team as a Senior Medical Director for Addiction Medicine. This role involves assessing and evaluating psychiatric and physical care delivery to patients, ensuring compliance with facility policies and Joint Commission standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and mental health evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans, focusing on evidence-based interventions and medication-assisted treatment.
  • Prescribe and manage medications for addiction and other health conditions, monitoring efficacy and side effects.
  • Provide ongoing patient education and counseling on substance abuse, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
  • Maintain up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare laws and regulations, including confidentiality and HIPAA.

Requirements

  • A valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
  • Experience in addiction medicine, psychiatry, or a related healthcare field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment and other addiction treatment modalities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work compassionately with a diverse patient population.
  • DEA registration and X-Waiver.
