Job Description

As an AI Data Development Platform Engineer on our Forward Deployed ML (FDML) team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project-specific adjustments and automations. Your focus will be on customizing and implementing machine learning solutions for automating data annotation and quality checks. This role requires strong communication skills, enabling you to work closely with the delivery manager to ensure efficient delivery on critical ML data annotation projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Interact with the Ops team to understand their immediate needs and propose innovative solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Rapidly prototype using Large Language Models (LLMs), scripting, dashboarding, and data munging.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in software development, preferably focusing on backend development and data-intensive applications.
  • Proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining APIs and microservices in production environments.
  • Python coding proficiency.
  • Hands-on experience working with relational databases for complex data queries and schema design.
  • Experience with developing and optimizing machine learning pipelines or integrating LLM inference systems into applications.
  • Proficiency in FastAPI for API development.
  • Expertise in Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with OpenAI APIs or other LLM-related tools for AI/ML use cases.
Salary & Benefits

Our estimated salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 annually, depending on location and qualifications.
