Job Summary:

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be responsible for performing admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity / compliance checks, and provide proper patient instructions.
  • Collect insurance information, receive, and process physician orders, and utilize an overlay tool while providing excellent customer service.
  • Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls as applicable.
  • Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service in interactions with patients and staff.
  • Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accounts are corrected.
  • Pre-register patient accounts prior to patient visits, including inbound and outbound calling to obtain demographic, insurance, and other patient information.
  • Explain general consent for treatment forms to patients, obtain necessary signatures, and witness names.
  • Review eligibility responses in insurance verification systems and select applicable insurance plan codes.

Requirements:
  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED Required.
  • CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (Company Paid).
