We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to join our team at the Pacific Palms Resort.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our culinary team and creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Key Responsibilities
  • To produce high-quality food products that meet the expectations of our discerning guests.
  • Communicate effectively with our Culinary Management team to coordinate daily prep lists and ensure seamless service.
  • Receives instructions from Cook 1 and Culinary Management and is required to successfully complete all requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate labeling, dating, and rotation of all food products to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame, adhering to our high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Be knowledgeable of all stations in the restaurant, including menu preparation, presentation, and production.
  • Develop and maintain prep and production pars to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
  • Collaborate with management to achieve reasonable requests and support the overall success of the resort.
Qualifications
  • Culinary degree or relevant experience is required.
  • A valid Food Handler's Certificate/Card is mandatory.
  • Prior knowledge and understanding of mother sauces, emulsions, vinaigrettes, mayonnaise, aoli, purees, and dressings is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of proteins, herbs, and spices is essential.
  • Familiarity with banquet production and a la carte service is beneficial.
  • Excellent knife skills and a strong understanding of customer service principles are essential.
  • Ability to self-motivate, manage time effectively, and lead by example.
  • Able to work well in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
