Job Description

This position involves designing, implementing, and evaluating recreation programs that cater to various age groups and interests. As a Recreation Program Manager II, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and managing budgets for program initiatives
  • Collaborating with local organizations and stakeholders to identify community needs and opportunities
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising program staff and volunteers
  • Evaluating program effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Recreation, Parks Administration, Leisure Activities, Health, Physical Education, Environmental Science, Fine Arts, or Performing Arts from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in professional recreation or education work with final responsibility for planning, coordinating, and implementing complex programs
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • A strong understanding of community dynamics and cultural sensitivity
