Job Title: Collections Specialist

Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, is seeking a highly skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Houston, or Austin. As a key member of the Revenue Management department, you will play a critical role in driving the collection process and interacting with attorneys, clients, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily collection efforts, including inventory review, consultation with attorneys, and development of collection strategies.
  • Meet with Billing Attorneys monthly to review aged investment balances and provide written status reports.
  • Prepare and analyze collection and A/R related reports, account reconciliations, and internal reports for billing attorneys.
  • Evaluate and implement best practices for collection efforts, including client communication and assessment of collectability.
  • Understand practice groups and billing processes for each client and resolve short payments in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of collections experience in the professional services industry (legal, accounting, insurance, healthcare).
  • Knowledge of Aderant and e-billing software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong project management and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
