Job Summary

As a Cage Lead Cashier at Golden Entertainment, you will be responsible for leading assigned employees in the successful completion of assigned tasks, projects, and job duties. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop department staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Oversee projects and tasks assigned to staff, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results
  • Act as a liaison between line staff and departmental leadership, addressing any challenges or concerns that may arise
  • Address escalated situations with guests, providing a positive and professional experience
  • Monitor and review the accuracy of transactions, ensuring compliance with local jurisdiction gaming laws and company policies
  • Issue and receive funds for chips, tokens, checks, coins, and promotional items, maintaining accurate records and balances
  • Balance assigned funds and maintain an organized workstation, ensuring efficient and accurate processing
  • Operate computer, coin sorter, money sorter, office equipment, telephone, and key control system, maintaining a high level of proficiency
  • Complete various gaming and company forms and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Provide outstanding customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements
  • 1 year of previous experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced cashiering environment
  • Prior experience working in a team or group environment in a leadership role
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in data processing and 10-key operation
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States
Work Environment

This role is based in a smoky and noisy environment, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, providing excellent customer service and leading by example.
