Job Description

As a Senior Cinematic Designer, you will be responsible for crafting engaging cinematic sequences for our next major project, Project Orion. This role requires a deep understanding of storytelling principles, acting, cinematography, and editing. You will work closely with our team of designers, writers, and artists to develop interactive experiences that blend film and gaming.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling scenes with excellent pacing, acting, cinematography, and editing
  • Communicate effectively with designers, other departments, and leads to ensure visual storytelling consistency
  • Set up actor staging and cameras using custom and library animations
  • Work on the mocap stage with actors, assisting the Cinematic Director with mocap-shoot preparation
  • Complete tasks on time in high quality and adhere to technical requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A deep understanding of what makes great storytelling and how to use means of expression to create coherent and memorable scenes
  • Perfect knowledge of acting, including posing and timing
  • Experience with narrative design and interactive storytelling, using visual scripting
  • Great knowledge of cinematography and editing
  • Minimum 8 years of AAA games development experience, preferably on long-form projects from inception to completion
