Job Title: Registered Nurse - Float Resource

PennState Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Float Resource. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Float Resource will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients in various units, including critical care, emergency department, and women's and babies.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing various medical procedures
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, diagnoses, and treatment plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
  • BLS certification required prior to orientation completion
  • Minimum one year of experience in critical care, emergency department, and/or women's and babies preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
