Cortica, a rapidly growing healthcare company, is seeking an Accommodations Specialist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a seamless experience for teammates seeking support through accommodations, leave as an accommodation, and workers' compensation light duty processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Administer teammate religious and medical reasonable accommodations, workers' compensation light duty cases, and leave as an accommodation, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and municipal laws.">
  • Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for teammates throughout their accommodation, leave as an accommodation, or workers comp light duty journey, providing top-notch service and a seamless experience.">
  • Manage caseload by appropriately setting priority, setting case management plans, and thoroughly documenting the execution of each step through to resolution.">
  • Enter, review, and audit all paid parental leave payments, maintaining accurate records.">
  • Communicate relevant information regarding teammate situations across the organization to stakeholders, such as the teammate's manager, Payroll, or other HR team members.">
  • Work to streamline and improve current processes for accommodations, leave as an accommodation, and workers' comp light duty, evolving these as business needs grow and change.">
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state government regulations and leave programs, minimizing financial costs while facilitating return to work for employees.">
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors independently to determine appropriate claim outcomes.">
  • Provide support coverage for HR Operations team, primarily in Leaves and Worker's Compensation, as needed.">

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of HR-related experience, preferably in administering leaves of absence and workers' compensation claims.">
  • Familiarity with employee accommodations process and requests.">
  • Strong judgment and ability to work professionally and effectively in challenging situations.">
  • Knowledge of employment law (federal, state, and local), employment legislation, and compliance.">

Compensation:

">

The estimated salary range for this position is $29.51 to $36.89 per hour, commensurate with skills, experience, education level, and location.
